Booking Terms
By booking with Butel Mountaineering, you accept the following terms:
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Although this deposit cannot be refunded, it may be transferred to another course or event at our discretion.
Your booking will only be confirmed once the deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due 30 days before the course begins. If payment is not made by this deadline, your booking may be cancelled, and deposit lost.
For bookings made within 30 days of the course or event start date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
All participants must complete a medical form and a risk acknowledgment form prior to the start of the course or event.
Participants must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also participating.
Cancellation Policy
If we need to cancel:
In the event that we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, including instructor illness, you will be given the option to reschedule, choose an alternative activity, or receive a refund.
If you need to cancel:
30 days before the start date: Full refund or credit note
Between 29 and 14 days before the start date: 50% refund.
Less than 14 days before the start date: No refund can be issued due to a loss of earnings and unable to reschedule work because of short notice.
We highly recommend obtaining appropriate insurance to protect against the possibility of being unable to attend or if the course is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any additional transportation or accommodation costs incurred due to cancellations.
Our standard cancellation policy applies if you cannot attend due to a COVID-19-related illness. We advise all participants to purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations due to COVID-19 or related illnesses.
Changes to Course Dates
Requests to change course dates can be considered at the discretion of Butel Mountaineering.
Changes to Itinerary
Although we make every effort to follow the planned itinerary, adverse weather or mountain conditions may require changes. Your safety is our top priority.
If the planned itinerary cannot be followed, we will offer a suitable alternative activity, mountain, route, or course.
Specific summits or routes are not guaranteed.
Our instructors have the final authority on all decisions. They may choose to turn back, abandon a summit attempt, or end the day early due to safety concerns. No refunds will be issued for unsuccessful summit attempts, shortened days due to bad weather, mountain conditions, or other safety-related reasons.
Timings
If you arrive late, your itinerary may be altered. If you are more than 45 minutes late without prior notice, your activity may be cancelled without a refund.
